Jan 13, 2010 – Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. has announced this morning that after the Earthquake that hit Haiti, they are able to charter private planes into and out of Haiti.
The Port Au Prince Airport (MTPP) in Haiti is currently closed and will require a visual inspection. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. has determined that the airport in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic (MDSD) is open. Joel Thomas, President of Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. mentions, "...we have air charter agents working around the clock to provide evacuation services and relief missions into Haiti. We are currently arranging 12, 17 and 30 passenger charter flights into Haiti today and over the next few days."
Pricing on charter flights from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) for 12-passenger commuter prop aircraft to Haiti is $15,750. Larger accommodations are available at 17 passengers for $20,500 and 30 passengers is $29,250. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. is currently arranging a 12-passenger charter flight from Fort Lauderdale into Haiti to bring medical supplies and first aid equipment to the people of Haiti. They are also coordinating with people on the ground in Haiti to evacuate missionaries and vacationers. Stratos Jet Charters agents are available and have the resources to charter a private jet from Florida with as little as 4 hours ofnotice.
